Jorge Esteves

Head of the Infrastructure and Networks Division, ERSE

From 2004, Jorge Esteves is the Head of the Infrastructure and Networks Division at ERSE, the Portuguese energy regulatory authority, involved with the electricity and the gas sectors.

Jorge Esteves received his graduation degree, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal during 1983, 1986 and 1992, respectively.

Before 2004, Jorge Esteves developed his career as University Professor and scientific researcher within Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal.

Representing ERSE, he is member of the CEER/ACER (Council of European Energy Regulators/ Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) Electricity Working Group.

Jorge is author or co-author of more than 70 papers published in books, scientific journals and national and international conferences proceedings.
