Hassan M. Claussen has been working in the Telecoms and IT market for over 30 years. In the early 90’s, Hassan was heading sales & marketing operations in Hamburg (Germany) for one of the largest IT Consultants, Telemation (acquired in 2000 by Dimension Data).
In Portugal since 1996, Hassan started a new career in business development, training and consulting with international training experts, ComGlobal. During this time he provided valuable services to many individuals and enterprises in the area of IT and Telecommunications. The business he worked with was recognized for many years as a leading IT Consultant.
After 17 years experience in the Telecoms and IT markets, Hassan M. Claussen founded HanseCom Media & Communication in November 2004.
With HanseCom he is now working in the event management and organization industry specializing in the telecommunications and IT industry. Together with his team, Hassan focuses his expertise in developing profitable events, handling projects from design and research, to marketing and sales, through to speaker acquisitions and management running up to and on the day of an event.
January 2014 Hassan introduced the Wi-Fi Innovation Summit (WIS), the premier global Wi-Fi conference series, that took place already in Frankfurt, Johannesburg, Palo Alto, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and San Francisco. In 2016, Hassan and his team introduced the Smart Mobility Summit, focusing on Mobility and Smart Cities. It took place in March 2016 in San Jose, Ca. , Amsterdam in November 2016 and Lisbon in May 2017 and May 2019. In October 2017 he organized the Smart Energy World Summit 2017 in Lisbon and 2018 in Milan. He is a senior researcher and invited assistant professor at FCT/NOVA within the CENSE, Energy and Climate research area. He is the principal investigator of multiple national and international projects on buildings energy efficiency, energy poverty, sustainable cities, and climate change adaptation. João Pedro was on the Management Committee of EU COST Action on Energy Poverty (ENGAGER), he is part of the Coordination team of EPAH – EU Energy Poverty Advisory Hub. He is one of the founders (2015) and Board Member of APEEN – Portuguese Association for Energy Economics (since 2021).

With a key focus on security, smart metering, smart grid, grid analytics, distribution network management and smart cities the OSGP Alliance members, including utilities, hardware manufacturers, service providers and system integrators, all share a common goal and vision: promoting open standards for energy demand side management, smart grid and smart metering systems.
Mark is involved in AMR since 2001, when Echelon started with Enel (It) the world largest AMR project, and has been involved in most large scale deployments in Europe. Mark has a background of more than 20 years in various management functions in the ICT market (Burroughs/Unisys), before he became involved in energy management, smart metering and Smart Grids in 2001 at Echelon as VP EMEA. In 2015 Mark was selected as one of top 40 most influential people on the subject matter Smart Grid in Europe by Metering International.
Since 2014 Mark has been responsible for strategic alliances and partnerships at Networked Energy Services (NES) Corporation and he is currently focusing on developing and expanding the Energy and Utility market in his position as Sr Vice President of NES.
Mark is actively involved in international standardization efforts. Active member in ETSI, various IEC and CEN /CENELEC Technical committees (TC13,TC57), ESMIG and member European Commission Coordination Group – Smart Electricity Grid (CG SEG) and was actively involved in mandates M441 and M490.

Nuno Lacasta has been working on environment and sustainable development for over 20 years in Europe and in the United States. Since 2012 he’s been serving as CEO of APA – the Portuguese Environment Agency.
He worked for academia and NGOs and as consultant for international organizations such as the OECD, the UN and the European Commission.
Mr. Lacasta has been in public service since 2003, having led the Portuguese Environment Ministry’s International Department, coordinated Portugal’s climate policy and directed the Portuguese Carbon Fund.
In his capacity at APA he served as Bureau member of the EEA – European Environment Agency, and as OECD Environmental Policy Committee’s Chair.

She started her career with Siemens in 2001 as a Contracts Engineer in the Power Distribution Division of Siemens Plc UK and thereafter progressed up the ranks taking up other key roles in Siemens Germany and Siemens USA.
Onyeche worked with Accenture Nigeria from 2006 in the area of management consulting and in 2009 took over responsibility for the Siemens Ltd. Nigeria Medium Voltage & Transformers (Energy Management) businesses.
Onyeche’s career path and achievements over the years led her to becoming the first Nigerian MD & CEO of Siemens Ltd. Nigeria from 2014 to 2020. During this time, she was instrumental in developing the Nigerian Electrification Roadmap and Presidential Power Initiative for setting the country on the path to sustainable transformation of the Power Sector.
Onyeche currently leads the Digital Grids Consulting business in Siemens Energy and prior to this, was the VP Strategy, Technology & Innovation for the Siemens Energy Industrial Applications Division. Onyeche is based in Munich, Germany with her husband and three children and is avid about mentoring, partnering and local content development initiatives.

Born in Portugal, Bruno studied Electrical Engineering in Portugal and began his professional career in the Maintenance Department at PRF in 2013. Since 2018 he is the Hydrogen Business Unit Manager and was deeply involved in the DRHYVE project, the first Portuguese hydrogen refuelling station and is also involved in other hydrogen projects such as hydrogen injection into the natural gas grid, hydrogen production and hydrogen supply to fuel cells.
Bruno believes that the actions we take now will determine what the world we live in will look like in 10, 20 or 50 years’ time. And it’s going to need huge efforts from all of us individuals, governments, businesses, schools and other organizations, working together for a better climate and a better future.
