João Manso Neto is a well-known manager in the energy sector. In 2021 he assumed the executive presidency of Greenvolt, a renewable energy company operating in three different segments: biomass, wind & solar utility-scale, and distributed generation.

With a degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia, with a postgraduate degree in European Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was the executive chairman of EDP Renováveis since 2006, and previously, a Member of the Executive Board of Directors of the EDP Group, having already been at the EDP since 2003.

Between 2002 and 2003 he was director of the Banco Comercial Português de Negócios Group. From 1995 to 2002 he was general director of the financial management of BCP and vice president of BIG Bank Gdansk in Poland.
